Description

In recent years, chamber music has been combined without complexity with “more modern” or “different sounding” material. The combination of strings with marimba, a percussion instrument not only used in classical music but also in folk music, cannot be called other than exceptional. It is like cross-pollination between two different musical worlds.

Lin Chin Cheng, his colleague marimba player Ludwig Albert and the musicians of the Ruby Sky String Quintet accept the challenge, bringing the program "Passionate Russia" (2017-2020).

The Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society is known far beyond Siberia. Since its foundation, the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra managed to become one of the leading orchestras in Russia, and received admiration and recognition of many professional musicians and Orchestra leaders. The Orchestra is known for its highly skilled soloists who shine in both a Symphony Orchestra as in an arrangement of Chamber music.
